God is My Copilot

Rev. Jim McNair - 6/22/2023

This week we talk about a phrase that sounds good on paper, but ultimately mistakes who is in control.  When we say "God is our Copilot," we think we are turning things over to God, but instead, we want to control ourselves and only want God to step in when it's convenient for us or when we can no longer do things on our own. Instead, we turn to Jesus, who reminds Peter and his disciples that he himself will endure suffering, betrayal, and death. Truly, he is in charge. Let us reflect on this and surrender our lives to the one who is truly in control.
